I was born on January 4th, 2001, in Vila Real, the city where I began my musical studies at the Conservatório Regional de Vila Real, focusing on trumpet. In the 10th grade, I transferred to ESPROARTE, where I developed a growing interest in composition and took private lessons with Professor Diogo Silva.
In 2020, I enrolled at the University of Évora for a Bachelor’s degree in Music, specialising in composition. Throughout this three-year academic journey, I had the privilege of studying under the Professors Christopher Bochmann, Hugo Ribeiro and Pedro Amaral, collaborating with various musicians who premiered and performed my compositions.
In 2023, I continued my education at the University of Évora, enrolling in the Master’s Degree in Music Education under the supervision of Professor Pedro Amaral, which I completed in 2025.
Alongside my formal education, I took part in several masterclasses and workshops with renowned composers such as Luís Naon, Michal Rataj and Cláudio de Pina. I also attended open classes with Professors Sara Carvalho and Evgueni Zoudilkine at the University of Aveiro, as well as composition seminars led by composers like Carlos Marecos and Christopher Bochmann at the University of Évora. A highlight was my participation in the first edition of the project Canto das Sementes, organised by Projecto DME and led by Professor Dimitris Andrikopoulos.
Among the most significant moments of my compositional career that I am proud of, I highlight winning first prize in the prestigious SPA/Antena 2 Composition Award | 2023 with the piece “Auto Retrato.” This recognition led to the premiere of the work by the Gulbenkian Orchestra at the closing concert of the 2023 Young Musicians Festival. More recently, I won the Young Composer Competition of the Portuguese Youth Orchestra for the 2025/2026 season.
I continue to compose actively, combining this creative activity with my current work as a teacher, and I have had the pleasure of seeing my works premiered and performed in various contexts and venues.
